below is a conversation my friend had with his co-worker today (whom i have met):
*note: Jennifer is J's girlfriend, whom i DO NOT have the hots for.
B: "That's a nice jacket you're wearing. It looks like a . . . Skateboarder thing"
J: "Thank you, it was a Christmas Present"
B: "From who"
J: "My friend Kellie"
B: "Oh, I could see her buying that sort of thing. Wait a minute she buys you clothes?"
J: "Yes, she was very concerned about my appearance when she moved here. She's been working to improve it ever since."
B: "Shouldn't other people be worrying about that? Shouldn't that be Jennifer's job?"
J: "Well she didn't, she just sort of let me go"
B: "I would have had a conniption!"
J: (giggling) "yes well maybe that's why I'm with her and not you"
B: "Yeah, I would have a conniption if some other woman was . . . "
J: "Oh I see what you mean. I thought you meant if your man dressed badly. . . . uhm, well, Kellie likes girls"
B: "Really? She doesn't look like it"
J: awkward look "Yeah"
B: "So that's why she likes Jennifer"
J: " . . . Well I knew her first"
B: "Are you sure? When did she tell you?
J: "Years ago"
B: "Because she's a really pretty girl"
